Sponsors
The Trig-Star Program relies on sponsors to promote the competition among students and teachers. On the individual and state level, sponsors work hard to make sure that all the requirements are precise and the awards are available for the participants.
A local sponsor is needed for each participating High School. Only one TRIG-STAR will be allowed per high school per year. The local sponsor must apply to NSPS on this application form and list the name of the High School where the contest will be held. A competition packet containing competition instructions, a test packet, and a sample news release will be forwarded by NSPS to the local sponsor. The local sponsor will be responsible for making all the local arrangements.
The Trig-Star competition allows NSPS State Affiliates to sponsor unlimited Trig-Star competitions by operation under a yearly state site license granted by NSPS. A local sponsor is still needed for each participating High School to administer the tests. Only one Trig-Star competition will be allowed per participating local high school per year. The state affiliates must apply to NSPS on this application form to be eligible for a site license. The local Trig-Star competition sponsors will be responsible for making all the local arrangements. The state affiliate will determine the state Trig-Star competition winner who will be eligible to compete in the NSPS National Trig-Star Competition.
