Sponsors

The Trig-Star Program relies on sponsors to promote the contest among students and teachers. On the individual and state level, sponsors work hard to make sure that all the requirements are precise and the awards are available for the participants.

A local sponsor is needed for each participating High School. Only one TRIG-STAR will be allowed per high school per year. The local sponsor must apply to NSPS on this application form and list the name of the High School where the contest will be held. A contest packet containing contest instructions, a test packet, an award plaque (if ordered), and a sample news release will be forwarded by NSPS to the local sponsor. The local sponsor will be responsible for making all the local arrangements.

The Trig-Star contest allows NSPS State Affiliates to sponsor unlimited Trig-Star contests by operation under a yearly state site license granted by NSPS. A local sponsor is still needed for each participating High School to administer the tests. Only one Trig-Star contest will be allowed per participating local high school per year. The state affiliates must apply to NSPS on this application form to be eligible for a site license. The TRIG-STAR contest materials will be sent to the local sponsor from NSPS. The local sponsor must fill out the State License Local Contest Application Form. The form will be emailed to the Coordinator for distribution. The local Trig-Star contest sponsors will be responsible for making all the local arrangements. The state affiliate will determine the state Trig-Star contest winner who will be eligible to compete in the NSPS National Trig-Star Contest.
